On 9 July 2026 AlphaTheta announced the XDJ-AN, a compact two-channel all-in-one designed as the step between a bedroom controller and a club booth. Street price is around $1,200. You can play USB, rekordbox CloudDirectPlay, and streaming (Apple Music, Beatport, Tidal) without a laptop. Layout cues come from the CDJ-3000X and DJM series, which is the whole point: learn the language of the club at home.
The trade-offs are real. DJ TechTools noted the missing physical staples — no sync buttons, no pad mode selectors, no dedicated loop buttons — with more of the workflow pushed onto the screen. USB media is USB-C only on the drive port. If your entire USB stick drawer is Type-A, budget for new sticks.
For Rhythm Label DJs that still matters. A lot of our records get their first public test in a spare room on a two-channel setup, then move to a club dual-CDJ booth. Our advice: if you already own an XDJ-XZ or CDJs, this is not an upgrade. If you are on a FLX4 and want USB / streaming without taking a laptop into every bar gig, AN is the conversation.
